We would be unlucky if that happened again. On the other hand, because of the size of this cyclone, we are certainly going to be affected by at least gales.

Strong wind gusts are expected at Darwin by tomorrow morning and the cyclone is not showing any signs of weakening. We're hoping as it hits the land it will lose some intensity, but there's no doubt a serious cyclone is on the way.

It is still a Category 2 cyclone and we are expecting strong wind, so people shouldn't become too complacent.

Let me just twit on days like today when I feel empty and my mind thinkless. Not really because I just figured out Tropical Cyclone Yasi is more potent than Hurricane Katrina. The only difference is that Queenslander did not take chances in playing with imminent danger. No casualty reported so far.

We have created this monstrous cyclone.

We haven't had a cyclone like this for decades, if we've ever had one like it before.
