We'd like to see a firm decision made to protect one of the largest pieces of conservation land in Florida. This is not just another ripe piece of real estate to put a highway through.

This is a decision that runs completely contrary with where Florida is going with regard to land. This goes 180 degrees in an opposite direction.

A land ethic, then, reflects the existence of an ecological conscience, and this in turn reflects a conviction of individual responsibility for the health of the land. Health is the capacity of the land for self-renewal. Conservation is our effort to understand and preserve this capacity.

We are enormously proud to have been chosen for this assignment by one of the nation's largest and most respected health systems.

Our argument is all about getting an honest lay of the land so the decision makers can make the most informed decision.
