We'd love to be able to make studio visits, but it's really hard to do that. We prefer it when people e-mail us images of their work.

Most of the people who attend these openings are artists, musicians and students; now they can come see a show and actually afford to take some of the pieces home with them.

Sometimes Molly will fly out to L.A. for a few days, raid the gallery scene there, and come back with a list of names and try to lure them down here.

Sometimes you have a concept first, and then you try to find artists that echo the idea you have.

He sleeps and sleeps, and the days go by, ... I love him dearly and for ever, but this lack of drive in any direction is a bad augury for the future. I am willing and happy to look after him for the rest of my life, but he must do something. If only he would take up some occupation and stick to it. I know that he is unhappy inside but, alas, with his natural resilience these moments of self-revelation dissipate and on go the years, and he will be an elderly man who has achieved nothing at all.

I love criticism just so long as it's unqualified praise.
