Weekends with friends, Friday nights, Saturday nights. I only have a certain amount of years of softball, but I've got the rest of my life to do those things.

In the dugout we were acting like was a 0-0 ball game and we knew we needed more runs.

I love the competitiveness. I like to get out of the 'girl zone' and be a beast for a moment, to prove myself to people.

And then there are my friends, and they have their own lives. While they like to talk everything through, to analyze and hypothesize, what I really need, what I'm really looking for, is not something i can articulate. It's nonverbal: I need love. I need the thing that happens when your brain turns off and your heart turns on.
