We'll continue to see energy deals work well,

This is a healthy looking market. It's not just energy deals that are working but some tech deals also. There certainly is a better tone in the stock market than a month ago.

It's been a crazy week. Everything that was supposed to work flopped.

I know for me personally (after Friday's game), I just wanted to come in and bring them energy. I was still going to give it my all. I felt the energy from the crowd and that took my pain away.

The bottom line on Knight Ridder papers is that in order to make these deals work, someone has to get extremely aggressive with costs. There's no question that this means that any buyer has to go in with a very, very sharp knife and trim the fat and maybe into the muscles to get this to work.

With education, you're really looking at a field of work that's very important - that deals directly with people's lives.
