Well, I'm using a cane, so what? So what if they shot me sitting in a wheelchair? That's life!

For me, the wheelchair symbolizes disability in a way a cane does not.

For years I played the what-if game. Maybe you're acquainted with this pastime. The rules are simple:

Rule #1: You're only allowed to think of worst-case scenarios.

Rule #2: You're never allowed to win this game. You can only lose.

Rule #3: The more you play, the greater your losses.

You'll never get anywhere if you go about what-iffing like that.

Really? Going on stage with a cane and moving the way you do?

I think that if you're sitting on the sidelines you could realize that a three-point shot is needed at those moments in time. Kids sometimes have some mental lapses, and unfortunately we had them.
