We're getting an early start on the rain-and-snow season, which is good as long as we don't get flooding.

We're talking about a snow pack that's 150 percent of average, and it's mostly still up there. Usually by this time, a lot of the snow is gone -- but we're still adding to it.

If the snow level drops, then it's staying up there in the mountains and not coming down in the rivers and melting the snow that's already there.

It looks like rain or snow up in the Sierra through the week.

The roof had heating elements in it because of the snow and ice build up, ... Rain and melted snow and ice would run down drainage pipes inside the (support) columns into an underground drainage system.

Thank God we got a little break in the storms.
