We're going to have to play a much higher level of volleyball to compete with Beyer.

I'm glad we don't have to play them again this season. ... it felt as if every point was match point.

There are so many great players out there that are untapped. Maybe it's international [golfers] or kids that didn't [play in] the AJGA. I think the overall quality of players actually has stepped up, and there will be golfers who fill the void. This will be an opportunity for more players to shine.

It was nice to play in front of our home crowd since we hadn't played at home since Sept. 1. Weston Ranch is a very scrappy team and they play with a lot of heart. Our execution wasn't as crisp as I would have liked it, but we were able to control the tempo of the match.

I was really pleased with our effort today, especially on the last four holes. Everyone stepped up at different times for us, but our work has just begun. We will work tonight on getting as fresh as we can for tomorrow and see what happens from there.

We had Katie (Ferguson) throw a lot before the game today because she needs a lot of warm-up, so I think she was getting tired in the middle of the sixth inning. It was a tough situation to bring Kate (Brown) into, but we got out of it.
