We're heading for a very sensitive time in these negotiations and I believe it is imperative that this is resolved quickly.

This is not a self-correcting problem. PERA needs to be put on a long-term program toward solvency.

It's worse than I thought going in. The state of Colorado has a moral, if not legal, obligation to bail this thing out, and this problem is not going to fix itself. (PERA) is absolutely in denial over the future burden they're building in for future taxpayers.

The taxpayers are not adequately represented in this thing.

Christmas is a time when kids tell Santa what they want and adults pay for it. Deficits are when adults tell the government what they want - and their kids pay for it.
