We're just going to have more and more traffic, and more and more congestion. Regardless of whether we decide to go forward with these projects or not, one way or the other, we will pay.

It is fitting that the TTI study on traffic congestion is being released the same day that the federal surface transportation program known as TEA 21 expires.

It would be incomplete for the city's proposal to deal with air congestion and not traffic congestion on the ground, ... That's why this proposal, which we hope will generate much public comment, also addresses the problem on streets in and around O'Hare.

They would provide a significant amount of the local (funding) match that could alleviate the need for a local tax increase to help finance the system.

This is the best way to go for the community.
