I was going to be an architect. I graduated with a degree in architecture and I had a scholarship to go back to Princeton and get my Masters in architecture. I'd done theatricals in college, but I'd done them because it was fun.

There has been no regular architecture since Sir William Chambers - the public taste corrupted by the Adams, I am obliged to comply with it.

It's about appreciating the quality of our architecture. It's an asset that I want to be nurtured and strengthened rather than changed.
