We're not about breaking the law, so we're not about wildcat strikes or anything like that. We're professional educators, and we'll act as such, even though we're not treated as such.

No matter what has happened, it is important to get support. If you don't report to law enforcement, then talk to Advocates or parents. If you don't tell anyone, it won't go away.

That statement is totally absurd. Look, all we are saying is what the law always has said: A city has a right to zone, but zoning has to be non-ridiculous — not arbitrary and capricious.

This is really what we anticipated when we wrote the law,

Before September 11, 2001, our law enforcement officers caught criminals and locked them up, our firefighters put out fires and saved lives and property, and our emergency medical personnel cared for those injured in accidents. We now live in a new era. Our police officers, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel now have an added responsibility as the front line troops for hometown security.
