We're real saddened by these tragic events.

I don't think there's a tremendous overreaction here, even if the investors who are selling in lieu of events of the weekend aren't focusing on earnings and earnings growth.

It's a very, very important thing for San Diego. We've been struggling to get marquee events, but it seems this year we've gotten them all – the NCAA (Regional), the World Baseball Classic, and now the McDonald's Game. This legitimizes us as a city that can host good athletic events.

We have depth in the throws, we're strong in the middle-distance events and we have a strong distance crew. Our weakest event is the high jump. There's not a lot (of experience) in that event.

We measure our days out in steps of uncertainty not turning to see how far we've come. And peer down the highway from here to eternity and reach out for love on the run.

We cut the gap to 34-33 early in the fourth quarter, but those kind of comebacks take a lot out of a team. We were down all the way around, but I think we had a pretty good year.
