Family is the foundation that we all draw our strength from, and I am honored to be a part of helping someone else's family stay strong by staying close.

Through a program with Community Support services, they place around 50 homeless into apartments every year. Shesler Hall houses about 40 per year and Henry Hall just opened. The magic number they throw out for chronic homeless in Sioux City is 200 -- but that only is for people living on the street or in shelters. That doesn't count people doubling up.

A large number of houses have been unroofed.

My uncle works in the prison, so he's still there and he said a lot of the houses are straight. My sister's house had a tree fall on it, but it didn't do too much damage. It's nothing we can't rebuild. You can't replace a life, but you can replace the houses and the fences.
