We're seeing more money and resources on test preparation. Does that make our kids smarter? No, it doesn't. It makes them better able to take standardized tests.

Those larger gains can be explained by the charter school model of a focused learning community.

They give the kids a good preparation for the states. When you go to the districts or regions, you have to be ready to wrestle three or four times against tough competition. The kids have to realize they need to be prepared for whatever comes at them at this level.

We have the best kids in the world, ... We don't always have the best athletes, but we got the best kids. And on top of being a good student, Corey is a good person.

If they (staff) don't get good preparation, the kids and the teachers suffer. No one puts as much time, effort and money into it (training) as we do.

All of our energy, all of our preparation is going into this game. We hope that our kids will get to bed early and get their rest and come out ready to play Saturday afternoon at Parkland against a great Paterson Catholic team, but our first priority has got to be Central Catholic.
