We're so excited to have him. The wonderful part about the Granite School District Police Department is their priorities, and only priorities . . . are the safety of kids and patrons in the district.

There's too much of an emphasis on protecting the police. We want the police officers, everyone involved in this, names exposed, none hidden.

The requirement is that priorities need to be established first, they need to be approved by the state school board, and then you go about doing a plan. You don't do it backwards, you don't develop a plan without the state school board first setting those priorities, and that was the fatal problem.

My main priorities are to increase the student numbers, keep the school functioning well and maintain a superior academic environment for the students.

I'm not saying we don't need a high school. I know we do. I just think our priorities need to be with the elementary and middle school.

All those backpacks are still in the school, all throughout the school, and there are briefcases and boxes, ... (Police) are using X-ray machines and everything else they can to X-ray literally thousands of backpacks, boxes, briefcases, anything that could house an explosive device.
