We're trying to drum up grassroots support for the bill by contacting people across Connecticut [and] urging them to contact their constituent legislators.

It's unlikely. It's too 'inside.' There would be about 100 people who would be thrilled, but we have to think of the bigger picture.

There are people all over this nation who want to participate in what Gavin is trying to do -- to have a more progressive, aggressive, creative Democratic Party.

The basic problem is that DRM is trying to keep honest people honest. With Napster out there, that's not good enough. It only takes one person to break the encryption, and then the encumbered version is competing with the unencumbered version on Napster.
