Wes Anderson deserves an award for sheer persistence of vision.

'Something to Look Forward To' pays homage to the talent, vision and persistence of particular black artists who have created dynamic abstract images and objects during extended and successful careers.

We need a vision that reduces our reliance on fossil fuels. But that's also public policy, and that comes down to political will, ... It's the governor and the Legislature saying, 'We want to widen our narrow focus on fossil fuels. We want to diversify.'

I applaud the Marian Anderson Award selection panel for identifying two outstanding individuals, Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis, as they exemplify the power of the artist to change the world. They were among the most vocal Americans in support of the early days of the civil rights movement. They used the power of their roles as critically acclaimed artists to effect change in society - in areas where change was the most needed.

The underdog often starts the fight, and occasionally the upper dog deserves to win.

'Scott Pilgrim' is something that was a little bit more difficult to put in one box. But, to me, that's not necessarily a bad thing about the movie.
