We've been playing good baseball, and today was just a small bump in the road. Forget about it, come back out tomorrow night and try to win the series. We can do it. We definitely can do it.

I thought he threw the ball great. He made one mistake. I told him I remember my first walk-off home run, Kansas City, Johnny Damon. It was his first and hopefully it won't be his last, because if you play this game long enough, it's going to happen, especially in the job we perform.

He's cool. He knows how everyone pitches. It's just the mental approach that differs. It helps that he has a track record. It helps that he has a resume. A long resume.

I'm excited. I heard (Greg) Maddux talk about him when I was in Chicago all the time. He's a pitcher's pitching coach. I talked to him for 45 minutes. He's a little spark plug.

I had such a great year I didn't want to forget it.

I anticipate a couple of bumps in the road. But I expect us to be playing some really good baseball by the end of the season.
