We've been working out for three weeks, and we've got some good numbers. But most of the kids are young. We have very few seniors, none in the running events.

It was a tough way to lose. We really felt we had a chance to stay close to them in the mile relay, but it didn't work out.

We view it as a benefit for our kids.

This is one of the better ones I've been involved with. The kids came out tonight and made the plays they had to. Give South Kitsap credit, though. They played us pretty tough.

We got off to a little bit of a slow start. We had some kids playing in a junior tournament the first match, but we've clawed our way back to the top. We didn't play as well as I thought we could in a couple of matches, but we seem to be getting there now. We're playing better all the time. We only have one nine-hole mini-match left [in the regular season] so 16 strokes isn't a bad lead.

I have a wonderful marriage and two great kids.
