We've got a strong group of referees who constantly push each other to be at their best so it's a tribute to Tim's ability that he has earned the appointment ahead of all others.

There's a lot of (referees) that miss times with their families and are on the road constantly. There's a lot of great officials in the state, so just to be singled out as the referee of the year is definitely humbling.
