We've gotten good reports from a variety of companies, supporting the thesis that corporate earnings are going to increase in the double digits this year.

Corporate earnings reports are going to be centre stage ? we're in that phase of the year. Recent reports have been cautious and we're going to see if that trend continues ? if it does the markets may remain negative.

There's this spider's web of corporate earnings. Companies are making the bottom line, but the outlooks are tepid and cautious. It's giving the market some pause.

So far the corporate profit outlook remains positive. I don't hear a lot of companies saying they're going to reduce their profit forecasts because of interest-rate concerns, and that's a positive for the market.
