We've had incredible support from the entire community. Local officials and the business community have gotten behind this project in a big way.

The park is for residents and families to relax and enjoy a very peaceful environment.

They've let me know I have a support structure here and anything I need to get I can get.

Had we not joined forces and brought these events about, our community may not even be aware of the kinds of resources (that are available). We've given them a message that we are here and that we are working on violence and substance abuse in their community.

It's very possible that what happened was because of one guy out of the whole community. It's also very possible there's a deeper problem with Islamic fundamentalism.
