What I want to happen is to be really creative, and to play something new in the improvisations, every time.

I learn something new about the game almost every time I step on the course.

Every time I write a new book, I want to push myself to try something different.

Every day that you're on set is a new day to learn something. Every time you're there, there's something new that you'll notice or something that you'll miss, and you think of something new that you can do.

That's the thing about musicians: The priority is to create something new that's never been before. And you put your life on the line every time that you play.

I want to keep trying something new all the time. It is the only way to grow.
