What kept me at the table was the fact that they continued to be willing to go over and above (what they were asked to do).

The Oregonian (newspaper) picked up on that negative slant and that was very, very unfortunate. I also think a legitimate company that has a good track record was dragged through the mud for wanting to come to this community and provide jobs.

We need to establish some kind of reasonable working level so the water for the science center and aquarium remains adequate while still allowing commerce. It's a balance.

We are always so happy to see them. It is such a reminder of what the US Coast Guard brings to our community. It's also a reminder of what it took to get the helicopter based here and how critical it is that it remains here.
