What makes it frustrating is that, we're the type of program that practices every day and we practice situations every day. Mentally, a couple kids did not execute properly, home plate was left uncovered and, hey, give their runner credit, she never stopped.

We practice putting the ball on the ground and being smart and aggressive every day. I don't care if you play high school, college, or even pro ball. If you can do that, you will be successful.

They have five losses but they could just be as easily at the top of the section. They had a bunch of heartbreaks.

I think the mystique of knowing they're good enough to do it has been removed, but they know it can happen. It just remains a case where you've got to have a few breaks and you've got to play well.

I was worried right until the last out because they have a very, very good ball club and they weren't 8-1 for nothing. We have a pretty decent ball club. Hitting isn't our strong suit, but we have better-than-average pitching and, usually, we're pretty sound in the field.

We didn't play well in the field, and we're not going to be able to beat the teams we think we can beat making (those kinds) of errors. I know that, and they know that.
