What we need to do now is to unite and get together with the real business at hand. Now is the time to bring everybody together.

The business has a much greater likelihood of survival if you take an approach that emphasizes survival of the business. The focus needs to be less on splitting each asset 50/50 as it is on taking a holistic approach and seeing that some assets will wind up on the wife's side of the ledger and some on the husband's side of ledger.

It's rarely a good idea to divide a small business. It's not like dividing up Time Warner where someone gets the movies and someone gets TV residuals...

You have to give him pretty high marks on how he manages the business. They've done pretty good in the marketplace, taking share every year.

I'm definitely a person who likes to control my own destiny. That's hard to do in this business because there are many creative people with great ideas and years of experience giving you advice, but what is right for one artist isn't always best for another. Knowing what's best for you and being willing to stand up and assert that is really a strong trait in this business.
