What you desire is what you want, what you have is what Allah wants.

If someone corrects you, and you feel offended, then you have an ego problem.

So we have to internalize a very powerful reality that Allah has given us. We treasure all of our relationships so long as, they are something that is building us towards the akhirah (the afterlife). So I want to leave you with this picture, what Allah has in His possession is better.

I know I don’t always show it, but you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Let’s make your birthday the very special celebration it should be, and I’ll remind you of just how much you mean to me. I love you!

The challenge is a lot bigger than in other disasters. We don't have a lot of experience evacuating a large city with this kind of infrastructure damage.
