What's more fun than sitting in your living room in funny glasses?

Her character does things that are not very nice, [but] we forgive her. That's a quality that's rare among actors. Jack Lemmon had it; we let him sin and then redeem himself. Tom Hanks has it. But women, as a rule, are not afforded the opportunity, or we don't recognize it as quickly in them. It's a great gift that she has.

I absolutely believed in Jake next to Patricia, and luckily they just seemed to have this terrific chemistry together. They both act in the same range. We do shoot an awful lot of scenes where they are in their underwear and their hair is messed up and the bed's unmade - creating that intimacy is what they are both great at.
