When a kid plays football games before he attends a class, something is wrong.

We're certainly in position to be a good defensive football team, ... Offensively, we have to be better. We have to make big plays.

Which are more compelling?] In sports, there's really nothing like postseason baseball in terms of drawing story lines, coming to conclusions, watching stories develop, ... In the Yankees-Red Sox series, Games 4 and 5 were two of the most thrilling games you'd want to see, and when you have a buildup like that, people are going to be excited to see Games 6 and 7. In football, the games can be just as thrilling, but they stand on their own. A regular-season game in the NFL has almost a playoff feel some weeks.

Football players win football games.

Something always happens that you don't expect in these games, ... They're exciting, they're good to have and they're what football is all about. You always get excited for these games, and this year is no different.

Are we where we need to be to win football games? I don't think so. But I think we're going in the right direction and think that's what spring is all about.
