When a player makes that transition from high school to college, you never know what to expect from them.

Casey was exactly the person I wanted to have at the plate in that situation because she does an excellent job of watching the ball she doesn't swing at many bad pitches. She had the opportunity to win the game with one swing.

One of the things we always talk about is that the game is never over until we say it's over. The team believed that and hung in there and created some breaks that led to the win.

Megan is a great example of someone coming in and really taking advantage of her opportunities. She came in and didn't waste any time. Hitting the ball right away really has proven that she deserves to be in the line-up. That's exactly what you want as a coach, someone that makes you make those tough decisions.

When you?re in high school, you think college is a huge step away. Then you come here and you realize that you can play here. Now everything is kind of sinking in.

College is a big difference than playing in high school. Here, everyone is as good as you are. I didn't really start until after the first five games of the season.
