When does life start? When does it end? Who makes these decisions?... Every day, in hospitals and homes and hospices... people are struggling with those profound issues.

At the end of the day, you know, love does not happen between two perfect people as much as we would wish.

As a policymaker, as a public servant, I come to Washington, D.C., and I make difficult decisions and I make difficult decisions every day. And sometimes those decisions upset people.

Every day at some point I encounter some sort of anti-American feeling.

Our life is the sum total of all the decisions we make every day, and those decisions are determined by our priorities.

It is just a great pleasure to be here as a New Yorker for St. Patrick's Day,
