When I first got elected, I was an unknown person from Janesville, Wisconsin. I'm not wealthy and I was able to do it, nonetheless. So I am living proof that an unknown, non-wealthy person can get elected to these seats.

I think this serves as a wakeup call to Wisconsin policymakers and consumers, ... We have an emergency situation with regard to health care costs and we need to act quickly.

It's not autobiographical, ... It is in the sense that anything you write in first person to some extent is autobiographical because you've got to put some of yourself into it. But most of the events in there are from imagination and research.

When I go up to Wisconsin, I'll try to make everyone proud.

I don't even look at those things. There were so many streaks that I inherited here, and Wisconsin. When I was at Wisconsin, there were so many streaks there, I kind of let them go in one ear, and out the other.
