When I first got here, I was in awe of him, and my buddies back in Toronto couldn't believe I was his teammate. But I quickly found out that he's just an easygoing, approachable guy whether you're young kid trying to make it or a veteran star.

It was a bit of a surprise that on their first few dump-ins you were waiting for someone to come flying in and hit you and they're sitting back at the blue-line. It's definitely not what (Edmonton) is used to watching and what we're used to seeing from them, but they're going to do what they feel is necessary to win a series.

When you get in there for the first time, you're in such awe of what you're experiencing that when you finally get to the off-season and have a chance to look back on it, you can take one of two roads. You either get humble and step up and become a leader, or you just think you're the best thing ever.

I don't want to predict and say who or what might happen, but I don't think it would be a surprise. We know what the expectations are in here.

We just have to be patient and wait for our chances.
