When I started to recording, I gave the name of Honeyboy, but my people only knew me by Honey.

I just gave him a little yell, but he knew where I was.

I knew that it was my only shot to be taken seriously in the recording industry, because it's fast and broad.

It took a while once we started recording ('In Your Honor') for us to really know if we were actually going to go through with it and actually make a double record with the acoustic stuff. It was a risk, sure, but when we were done recording, we felt pretty strongly that we'd made a great record.

After Contreras did that, I knew Freddy would come down and try to emulate him. He gave me the innings, too.
