When I'm with the children I get a feel for what I think they would get really excited about. If I stood up and talked about aerodynamics they would be bored to death.

Any child who is placed on a stimulant medication should be watched closely for side effects. The child should be monitored closely by the prescribing physician, with periodic reports from the school, teacher and parents.

Basically, I think we have to pull back. We have to be careful not to prescribe just to please [adults]. A multi-faceted approach needs to be taken with behavioral, educational and medical facets all involved.

We talk to them about science, aerodynamics, weather, math, and geography. We apply everything we do with flying to what they do in the classroom. It's also about having goals and accomplishing goals. It incorporates not only the teaching part of it but also working hard to accomplish your goals.

They can disrupt the normal stimulation of the cardiac muscle.

If the children are going to have any kind of floor area, you're in kind of a Catch 22 as a staff member.
