When moments are exchanged for memories, the only way we can access them is to visit the past, and while visiting the past, it becomes our present. One thing to consider is do you want that to be the gift you want to give yourself?

The past informs the present. Memory makes the map we carry, no matter how hard we try to erase it.

We should kill our pasts with each passing day. Blot them out, so that they will not hurt. Each present day could thus be endured more easily, it would not be measured against what no longer exists. As things are, spectres mix with our lives so that there is neither pure memory nor pure life. They clash and try to strangle each other, continually

There is only now. And look! How rich we are in it.

Forgive your frailties, focus on your strengths, and give from your heart. Everything will take care of itself from there. Remember, YOU are a gift.

I did not know who I was. But now, watching it all unfold — and having a past, a present and a future — I think what a little character I was. The character I am now, it's a good and seasoned woman. There's not so much vaudeville, but plenty of heart.
