When my husband became a professor at USF in 1966 I remember the campus in Tampa was literally a wasteland. When I go to that campus now and look at what's happening, I can't believe it.

It's literally across the campus.

We've never had a problem with him, going back to when (he was in) Tampa.

He missed that a lot because it was taken away from him, literally overnight, when he became ill. And you couldn't explain that to him, of course.

We have decided together not to go that way, not to compete against each other because it divides the institutions and it divides the community.

This does have serious implications for not only the business world but for marriage and family. Are all these educated women going to allow themselves to fall in love with men who haven't achieved as much?
