When the wealthy already pay the lion's share, the wealthy will get the lion's share of the relief. That's just the way it is.

This tax plan would give us probably another eight, maybe 10, years before we have to deal with a court case and the schools suing us again. What that does is put off the reforms that are really needed in our school funding system.

The tax structure is good the way it is. Right now what we run a risk of doing is looking at this relatively strong economy and thinking now is the time we can go out grab some of that money for public purposes. The main thing we need to do is keep control of government growth.

The city will need to make sure that they are there to help those businesses relocate. It's in their economic self-interest to keep those businesses located within the city.
