When they were effective with running the ball, it meant that they could be effective with the play action pass. We obviously didn't defend very well against either the run or the pass.

Dan didn't like play-action; we didn't have a running game, so consequently we didn't have play action. Most of the stuff we did was drop-back passing or the shotgun, and Dan always was looking down field. He could sense where the pressure was coming from and quickly get the ball off.

He didn't like any play-action, ... He liked to drop back and go downfield. Of course, we didn't have much of a running game in those years.

As we spent time trying to play catch up, it was even harder trying to establish the run. We still had some plays that we thought we could be effective in running and we were disappointed that they didn't work better.

I'm an action transvestite really, so it's running, jumping, climbing trees... putting on make-up when you're up there!

We're serving a lot more people this year. We are running out of the things we normally have a good supply of this time of year.
