When you have kids you do grow up. I have just started realising it now-it changes the world, having children.

I think children of divorced parents do grow up quicker. You just do.

Having children really changes your priorities.

Show your children tolerance, humility, respect, honesty, and curiosity towards the universe they are faced with. In sum, help them to open their minds, so they will be able to see the beauty in the vastness of our world.

Much as I resented having to grow up in Des Moines, it gave me a real appreciation for every place in the world that's not Des Moines.

If you're financially responsible, your children have a much better chance to grow up financially responsible.
