When you heard Curt Gowdy call a game, you knew it was a big game.

The big thing was Curt Schilling, he was obviously on top of his game. We ran into a great pitcher today. It's disappointing.

This was a very big game for us. We don't want to scoreboard watch too much, but we knew the Giants had won (in Washington). Jake is our staff ace, and he is our stopper. When he takes the mound, we expect to win baseball games.

Curt was good and got stronger as the game went on. He's the guy that we wanted out there on Opening Day and it's really nice to see him out there and healthy.
