Whether The Cancer Council is funding parent or family support, or putting money into research, the funding comes from awareness of their work and days like Daffodil Day make it happen.

All the money raised goes directly to the services of the cancer support homes. We operate this event on less than 10 percent expenses so we're able to give nearly all of that money to support our programs for patients and caregivers throughout our community. This event allows us to give a lot of our services free.

We want to encourage people to recruit new teams, bring awareness into the community, and raise funds for cancer research, advocacy, patient services, programs and education. We try to have fun with it and really get people into the relay spirit.

Groups like The Cancer Council and Camp Quality are important to help people understand more about cancer

We are very excited about getting this grant without having had too much real exposure to breast cancer research.

If we can raise a quarter of a million dollars for cancer research that would be excellent.
