While the overall picture remains unfortunate, there are bright pockets of hope. In schools where the faculty is trained and ready to show support for students facing this kind of harassment, you find students are much less likely to suffer the adverse effects such harassment can have.

We hope to involve all eleven schools from the Big Ten eventually.

We are plain people from Tennessee, called here for a little time by a nation's calamity, and I hope too much will not be expected of us.

I hope they would try to get us in with Upper St. Clair, Mt. Lebanon, Baldwin and schools that are geographically near ours. There is no question that our people here in the community get a lot more excited when we are playing schools like Upper St. Clair and Mt. Lebanon that are just few miles away. And I think that is the way it should be and something we should do.

What we really hope is that schools will one of their neighboring schools on this list and contact them to find out what steps they have taken to help them reach this level of achievement.

These kids are highly ambitious and I hope that's what we're coming out of schools like. There are shows out there that are portraying kids as these really messed up, conflicted young people and hopefully we're not all like that.
