While there's not a written mandate from us, I would certainly believe the main aim for the various state cricket associations should and would be to have players represent Australia,

It has been an incredible series and the English team has enjoyed massive home-town support. We hope to leave Ricky Ponting and his team in no doubt as to the huge level of support they have from Australians back home.

This is a world-class event and Australian cricket is proud to play host. We believe it will be something fans will talk about for years to come, just as they recall the 1977 Centeneray Test and the 1971-72 Rest of the World Series.

I want to see a full day's cricket. It's what the series deserves.

Obviously New Zealand has been playing better cricket than us but we back ourselves, if we perform well, to be very competitive against them.

It was not that a single performance lifted us. It was a hard fight and we played good cricket. But we can't slip up as there is still a lot left in the series.
