While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about.

It really depends. Some of it is underemployment, sometimes someone has lost a job. They end up in court, and the courts can give them a choice. They can be referred to this project, and we can help them address problems and find jobs.

The one in Dickinson has had some successful outcomes, and Grand Forks folks were interested. It's always nice to work with someone who wants to be part of the project.

Poor people, people of color - especially are much more likely to be found in prison than in institutions of higher education.

When I was in school, my mother stressed education. I am so glad she did. I graduated from Yale College and Yale University with my master's and I didn't do it by missing school.
