With how hard he works, how many pitches he throws, what we see, we'll decide if Thursday is an option or not. He's anxious to get in a game.

He was satisfied with the way he felt. He misguided a couple of pitches, but aside from that, he got a good workout.

He was terrific. He throws a lot of strikes and for the most part he stayed ahead of the hitters. He doesn't beat himself; that doesn't happen very often. We were able to give him some runs to work with. When you give him some runs he knows what to do with it.

Because the job didn't get done tonight doesn't mean that it the situation presented itself [Thursday], we're going to do the same thing. We got this far by the ability of these people who have been pitching and playing for us. It can't always be a happy ending. We'd like to think it is, but we'll have to bounce back.

If we felt [Posada] was our best option, ... we'd bite the bullet and take our chances.

If he throws that many pitches going into the sixth inning, that's nice. He should be ready for seven innings next time out or possibly more. Everything was good, his mound presence. He looked comfortable. Everything kind of flowed today for him.
