Yeah, in a lot of the products we use, like cement has jumped over a dollar or two dollars a bag, which is a fairly good increase. PVC pipe, all the fittings and stuff, which are made out of the oil products, they've gone up in price.

Well, we have to raise our prices, which I don't like to do. I really hate to raise them, but, a lot of people, you've got to do it, to stay in business.

I loaded up the van and the truck and it was over a hundred dollars. That was just in one day, and we go through that sometimes two or three times a week.

The Hilltop wanted to run a regular comic strip, so I tried to do something that would appeal to Howard students. I wanted to do something that they could be familiar with.
