He was a big man, about 6-5. He had this leadership aura about him. You knew he was in charge. He was prepared and understood the game. He knew what it took to win. He was hard on players, but they understood what he stood for.

A word is not the same with one writer as with another. One tears it from his guts. The other pulls it out of his overcoat pocket.

We knew that we were one of the better teams out there. We believed that we were, and we just wanted to prove a point.

It was emotional in the beginning (and) a few tears were shed. We knew ... this isn't the end of the road for us. We treated it like we had to come out and make sure we won on Senior Night but we've got to keep going from here.
