You can only ask your goalkeeper to make that first save. She did and then we had three girls all watching the ball trickle back to the one player who could touch it. That was a shame. But I'm not going to take away from the improvement the kids made from Monday. We just had a lapse at a really bad time.

Adrienne had a great summer playing club ball, she's improved her vertical leap. For that matter, all of our girls have improved their verticals.

We have a couple spots to fill in with new girls. But I think we have a very close-knit team - the girls all get along well.

Young girls are told you have to be the delicate princess. Hermione taught them that you can be the warrior.

We're working on that. Some of our girls just aren't comfortable looking to score right now. But I think we competed harder and had more fight in us.

Boys & Girls Clubs across the nation have had a positive impact on the lives of children for the last 100 years. The changes that have taken place in the clubs, even in the past decade, have been amazing to witness, so to think about what these clubs will look like in the next century is hard to imagine. I'm excited to see what our kids have come up with.
